VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, officially launched its right-hand drive VF 3 mini-SUV at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025. This move aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, responding to the growing adoption of eco-friendly transportation.
To bolster electric vehicle infrastructure, VinFast has partnered with V-GREEN to expand the network of charging stations across Indonesia. V-GREEN aims to develop 30,000 VinFast charging portals nationwide by the end of 2025, enhancing accessibility and accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility.
Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, stated that the VF 3 is designed to meet the mobility needs of urban residents, featuring compact dimensions and sufficient range for daily use. “We view Indonesia as a potential market for electric vehicle development, and we hope the VF 3 will be a suitable choice for urban users,” he said.
The introduction of the VF 3 intensifies competition in Indonesia’s electric vehicle segment. With government incentives and improved charging infrastructure, electric vehicle adoption is expected to rise in the coming years.
To ensure effective communication, VinFast has appointed ID COMM as its strategic communication partner. ID COMM plays a crucial role in the VF 3’s launch in Indonesia by crafting effective narratives, ensuring key messages are conveyed through targeted communication strategies, and collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders (KoL) and media to secure positive reception of the VF 3 in the Indonesian market.
